Dr. Liz Covart, Host of 鈥淏en Franklin鈥檚 World鈥 Podcast, Speaks at Cultural 东京热 Center on April 25

Dr. Liz Covart, host of the popular podcast Ben Franklin鈥檚 World, will discuss her research on early American history and highlight episodes from her podcast on Thursday, April 25 at 6:15 p.m. at the Cultural 东京热 Center (222 Madison Avenue, Albany, NY). Organized by the New York State Archives and the Archives Partnership Trust, this event is free and open to the public. Reservations are strongly encouraged by calling 518-473-7091 or .

Prior to the 6:15 p.m. talk, a 5:00 p.m. public reception will be held offering attendees the opportunity to talk with Dr. Covart while enjoying light refreshments and a cash bar. The Beer Diviner, New York State鈥檚 first licensed farm brewery, will serve locally-brewed selections at the cash bar.

Dr. Liz Covart is the creator and host of Ben Franklin鈥檚 World: A Podcast About Early American History, and winner of the Best History Podcast Award in 2017. As the Digital Projects Editor at the Omohundro Institute of Early American History and Culture, Dr. Covart practices a blend of scholarly history, public history, and digital humanities. While the Omohundro Institute鈥檚 primary focus is supporting scholar sand scholarship related to early America, Dr. Covart experiments with social and new media to communicate scholarly history to large public audiences. She earned her Ph.D. in History from the University of California, Davis.
